Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve the centralized control of a main engine and rudder operations by providing a remote control system with a main engine operating signal generating means and a command rudder angle signal generating means. CONSTITUTION:Various command keys A-K of a main engine output setting panel 12, which are a main engine 4 driving signal generating means, and command keys a-g of a command rudder angle input panel 13 are placed in a portable remote control apparatus 11. Various navigational data indicating devices such as a bearing indicator 14, rudder angle indicator 15, ship speed indicator 16, and revolution indicator 17 are also positioned in said remote control apparatus 11. This arrangement enables the centralized control of operations of a main engine 4 and a rudder 9 by means of the remote control apparatus 11. The portability of the remote control apparatus 11 provides greater ease of handling.
