Abstract

PURPOSE: To automatically feed tires one by one to an incinerator, by providing a member for conveying the tires one by one upwards, at the end of a conveyor which supports the tires in vertical posture.
CONSTITUTION: In a conveyor A, numerous frames are provided on a pair of chains 1. Annular articles 50 such as old rubber tires are conveyed forward stepwise by every interval between the frames through the action of a sprocket 4 while the annular articles are supported in vertical posture. A member 9 is moved up and down along a guide post in front of an incinerator B facing the end of the conveyor A. The annular article 50 is engaged with a claw 10 and the member 9 is moved up to transfer the annular article onto a receiving frame 45. The frame 45 then carries the annular article 50 into the incinerator B to burn up the article. This series of operations are automatically effected under good timing.
