Abstract
PURPOSE:To reduce annealing time by interposing an insertion plate in part of coil wraps to form spaces between the plate and the coil and flowing an atmospheric gas during annealing and air during cooling into these spaces. CONSTITUTION:In batch annealing of tight coils, a corrugated insertion plate 2 is inserted into the entire circumference in the central part of the winding thickness of a tight coil 1 to form spaces 3. Material softer than ordinary steel, for example, copper plates, asbestos, heat resistant resins and the like are used for the plate 2. Those having a corrugated shape, or provided with recesses in alternately deviated positions of the front and rear are used. Thereupon, if an atmospheric gas is flowed into these spaces 3 during annealing and air during cooling, the annealing time and cooling time are reduced.
