Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain higher pump head for a centrifugal pump, by fitting a rotor, opened to the intake side of a rotor casing, to the tip of an output shaft of a motor, and by fitting a plurality of pipe vanes to the peripheral walls of a rotor, piercingly.
CONSTITUTION: The cylindrical rotor 12 having a bottom part with it, opened to the suction side 7 of a casing, is fitted to the tip of an output shaft 5 of a motor 2, in a rotor casing 6 provided to one end of a pump body 1. To the peripheral walls of a rotor 12, a plurality of pipe vanes 14 are fitted at an interval of 90° to each other, and in the state that the vanes pierce the peripheral walls 12a. With such an arrangement, the liquid is sprung out with strong centrifugal force, from the inside of vanes 14 of a rotor rotating in high speed, so that a flow path of a liquid as shown by arrow signs A, B, and C, from a suction opening 7 to a discharge opening 10 passing through the inside of vanes 14, is certainly determined, therefore, the liquid flows smoothly. As a result, the energy given to the liquid itself can most efficiently be utilized, and higher pump head can be obtained.
