Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by formulaI(R1 is H or phenyl which may have a lower alkyl, halogen, etc. as a substituent group; R2 is H, lower alkyl or halogen; X is R2 or lower alkoxyl; m is 2 or 3; n is an integer 1W5; p is 0 or 1; R1 is the groups described above except H when p is 0) and an acid addition salt thereof.
EXAMPLE: 4-Amino-6,7-dimethyoxy-2-[4-(1-phenylcyclopropylcarbonyl)-1-piperazinyl]quinazoline hydrochloride hydrate.
USE: A hypotensive agent having mild hypotensive and prolonged actions without exhibiting rapid hypotensive action such as that of prazosin.
PROCESS: A 2-halogenoquinazoline derivative expressed by formula II (Y is halogen) is condensed with a cyclic diamine derivative expressed by formula III by the dehydrohalogenating reaction to give the compound expressed by formulaI.
