Abstract
PURPOSE: A composition for an elastic sealant, etc., curable into a rubber-like state at room temperature by being brought into contact with water, obtained by blending a specific polyether having terminal silyl groups with a silicon compound, diorganopolysiloxane and a condensation catalyst.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 100pts.wt. polyether having a molecular weight of 500W 15,000, having terminal groups shown by the formulaI(RI is 1W20C organic group; RII is H or 1W20C organic group; RIII is hydrocarbon group, etc.; a is 0W3; b is 0W2; c is 0 or 1; 1≤a+b≤4; x is a hydrolyzable group; m is 0W18), and a main chain consisting of a repeating unit shown by the formula RIV-O (RIV is 1W4C hydrocarbon group) is blended with (B) 0W20pts.wt., preferably ≤ 10pts.wt. silicon compound having a Y group (Y group is hydroxyl or X) linked to Si and 1W20 Si, (C) 0W200pts.wt. preferably ≤50pts.wt. diorganopolysiloxane shown by the formula II (RV is hydrocarbon group; n>19, d is 0W2; Y is hydroxyl, etc.), and (D) 0W10pts.wt. condensation catalyst.
