Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetic clutch for speed change of compact construction and low manufacturing cost, by employing a speed changing coil spring clutch.
CONSTITUTION: When a coil 31 of a coil spring type clutch 45 is magnetized, an input hub 32 and an output hub 36 are coupled via a spring 35 and the revolving torque of a sprocket wheel 44 is transferred to a driving mechanism 61 via an input shaft 40 and a gear 48. When a coil 67 of a friction-type magnetic clutch 56 is magnetized, an armature 65 is sucked by the rotor 66 of the clutch 56 and touches the rotor 66. The rotation of the driving mechanism 61 is transferred to the rotor 66 of the clutch 56 by friction causing an output shaft 53 to revolve.
