Abstract

PURPOSE: To attempt the fuel increase in acceleration by equipping a negative- suction-pressure-responding diaphragm system which strokes temporarily when sudden change in negative suction pressure occurs.
CONSTITUTION: When a throttle valve 3 is suddenly opened in acceleration, the negative suction pressure in the downstream of the throttle valve suddenly changes to the direction of atmospheric pressure. At this time, the pressure in air chamber 27 also changes at almost the same rate as the suction pressure. However, there is a temporary time lag in the nagative pressure change until the air chamber is filled with air, because the air chamber 28 is connected to the downstream of the throttle valve through orifice 26. Therefore the pressure difference occurs between the air chambers 27 and 28 during the lag time, and drives the diaphragm 25 upward, which pushes up the fuel control valve 16 through push rod 20. Thus the fuel injection can be increased temporarily at the time of acceleration.
