Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the drive force from sharp lowering in the area of high revolution by arranging the position of an exhaust gas bypass valve to the opening of the entrance to direct the valve to close the opening of the entrance on the basis of the work of exhaust gas pressure.
CONSTITUTION: A compressor 2a of a supercharger 2 is connected to the suction side of an engine 1 via a supercharged gas passage 3, while a turbine 2b to the exhaust side of the engine 1 via an exhaust gas passage 4. A bypass 5 is branched on the way of the exhaust gas passage 4, and another end of this bypass 5 is connected to the downstream side of the turbine 2b. An entrance opening 5a of the bypass 5 is provided with a valve 6 in which a diaphragm 7 is fixed on the rear end of a valve rod 6a and pushed to the right. An exhaust gas pressure Pt in the exhaust gas passage 4 works to the valve 6 to open the entrance opening 5a.
