Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize a large capacity magnetic disk having high reliability, by providing a subblower and a heater, and installing a filter to an exhaust valve. CONSTITUTION:When this device is driven, air is sucked from an air intake 1 by a main blower 2, clean air is fed into a cover 5 surrouning a disk 4 through a filter 3 after passing through a change-over valve 14, cools the adjacent part of the disk 4, opens a valve 18 of an exhaust port 7 by wind pressure. When the magnetic disk device is stopped, air is sucked by a subblower 12, air is heated by a heater 13, heats the adjacent part of the disk 4 through the valve 14 and the filter 3, and is exhausted through a filter 15 on the valve 18 of the exhaust port 7. In this way, a large capacity disk device having high reliability is obtained.
