Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase resolving capacity and also to shorten length of the of measurement, by controlling the gain of a system, in which a multiplied output of a detecting signal and a reference signal is obtained, and a gain of a system, in which a squared output of the reference signal is obtained, in accordance with a value of the multiplied output. CONSTITUTION:Voltages at the both ends of a capactive element 2, which is connected to a reference AC power source 1 and being measured, are supplied to a multiplier 7 through an operating amplifier 5. And, voltages at the both ends of a resistance 3 are supplied to the multiplier 7 through a polarity inverting amplifer 8 and a 90 degree phase shifting circuit 12, and a multiplied output e4 is supplied to a reference voltage input teminal 17a of a digital voltmeter 16 through a low-pass filter 13 and an operation amplifier 15. On the other hand, an output of the amplifier 8 is given to a multiplier 18, a squared output e5 is given to an unknown voltage input terminal 17b of the voltemeter 16 through a low-pass filter 20 and an operation amplifier 22, and a capacity Cx of the capactive element 2 is indicated on the voltmeter 16. And, an output e1 of the amplifier 5 is compared with a voltage value of a power source 37 by a comparator 38, switch circuits 34 and 42 are controlled by a comparative output, and gains of the amplifiers 5 and 22 are controlled.
