Abstract
PURPOSE:To generate a constant DC voltage which has a wide operating current range easily with high stability by a method wherein a direct current and a high frequency current are supplied directly to one Josephson-element in a super- conducting closed circuit. CONSTITUTION:One Josephson element J1 and N Josephson elements J2 are connected in parallel to compose a super-conducting closed circut. In this closed circuit, when a direct current I and a high frequency current i are supplied simultaneously to the parallel junction point of the element J1 and the elements NXJ2, a relation Y1+NXY2=O is realized, where Y1 and Y2 are the phase of the current through the element J1 and the elements NXJ2 respectively. And the phase roration of the current through the elements J2 is slower than that of the current through the element J1 by 1/N of that value. Then the DC constant voltage generated by the elements J2 has a wide current range corresponding to the integer N. Thus, by increasing the number N of the elements J2, the constant DC voltage which has a wide operating current range can be generated easily with high stability.
