Abstract

PURPOSE:To extend the life of a small-sized electronic apparatus such as an electronic clock using a C-MOS and a small-sized battery, by adopting the capacitor voltage dividing system of high conversion efficiency for the voltage division ratio of a voltage dividing and dropping circuit. CONSTITUTION:A main capacitor 4 of a voltage dropping circuit 3 is connected in parallel to an electronic circuit 2, and n-number groups of subcapacitors 4a- 4n each of which consists of n-number capacitors are provided in the voltage dropping circuit 3. A changeover switch group is provided which switches the connection between the main capacitor 4 and subcapacitor groups 4a-4n and the connection between capacitors of subcapacitor groups 4a-4n. The main capacitor 4 is connected in parallel to the circuit 2, and subcapacitor groups 4a-4n are connected in series to this parallel circuit and are connected in parallel, and subcapacitor groups 4a-4n are charged by the battery 1. When the circuit where subcapacitor groups 4a-4n are connected in series is connected in parallel to the main capacitor 4, an optional voltage is supplied to the circuit 2.
