Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the strength and press formability of a steel sheet by cooling the steel sheet quickly with a gas in a continuous annealing process by means of the water droplets fined by a gas. CONSTITUTION:In the production of steel sheets for automobiles, the quenching treatment in a continuous annealing process is accomplished by colliding the water droplets atomized with a gas against the steel sheet in the range of 10- 10<4>l/min. m<2> density of water quantity. Further, the tempered steel sheet is skin pass rolled to a product. The steel sheet having superior strength as steel sheets for automobiles and has superior press formability is obtained.
