Abstract
PURPOSE:A powdery cosmetic of stick shape having improved shape retention and feeling in use, comprising a granulated material as a base obtained by making a polyethylene having a specific molecular weight and other powdery base into powder. CONSTITUTION:A polyethylene having a molecular weight of <=5,000 (preferably 1,000-5,000), more preferably a density of >=0.93g/cm<3> (especially 0.93-0.95g/ cm<3>) and other powder base (e.g., talc, kaolin, starch, zinc oxide, titanium oxide, magnesium oxide, silica, etc.) are made into powder to give a granulated material, which is used as a base to give a powdery cosmetic of stick shape. The amount of the polyethylene used is preferably 1-20wt%, especially 5-15wt% based on total amount of the powdery cosmetic of stick shape.
