Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve life of a pump by supporting a rotor iron core and a driving magnet with the same support member so as to reduce space for arranging said members and raising accuracy in concentric support of the driving magnet so as to reduce eccentric load on the face of a pump runner bearing.
CONSTITUTION: A support member 7, required for supporting a rotor iron core 5 of an external rotor type motor 1 and a driving magnet 12 of a magnet coupling 11 by a rotor shaft 9, and a basket-shaped secondary conductor 6 are united by means of die casting with pure aluminum. The rotor iron core 5 and the driving magnet 12 are supported directly by the same support member 7. As a result of this fabrication, axial space for arranging the support member 7 is reduced, an air gap and the magnet coupling 11 are lessened due to enhancement in accuracy of concentric support of the driving magnet 12, and eccentric load acting on a pump runner 19 is reduced so that a long life of a bearing 8 and the like may be realized.
