Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the accidental erroneous discharge at both ends of a shift channel due to the storage of abnormal charge by providng a highly resistive section which can leak the charge stored on the surface of dielectric material layer corresponding to the electrode at one end of the shift channel. CONSTITUTION:Partial high resistance sections 10, 11 are provided in the dielectric material layer in correspondence to the discharge cell at both end sections of a shift channel including the write discharge cell W and the outermost electrode 9 and y2n for defining the end shift discharge cell. Said high resistance sections are constructed by mixing the conductor such as the gold into the dielectric material such as aluminum dioxide. With such structure the abnormal discharge stored on the surface of the dielectic material can be leaked through the resistive section to the corresponding electrode thereby the accidental erroneous discharge can be prevented.
