Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the leak resistance of a thin type cell which is caulked and sealed at the tip of a positive electrode can by flattening all the circumferences of a flange bottom of a negative electrode can which serves as a sealing plate. CONSTITUTION:A positive electrode active material 2 such as silver oxide is formed in a pellet and put on the center in a positive electrode can 1, and a separator 3 is provided thereon. A negative electrod 4 which serves as a sealing plate has a flange, and is stuffed with a negative electrode active material 5 made of hardened zinc. The negative electrode can 4 is pushed into the positive electrode can 1 using a gasket 6 as an intermediary.
