Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the distortion due to nonlinearity of a diode, by adding a base band signal equal to the envelope of an AM signal to the AM signal in opposite phase to keep the operating point of detection constant at all times. CONSTITUTION:A waveform (c) in opposite phase of the positive envelope of the waveform at the point A is superimposed on an AM signal waveform (a) at the point A at an input terminal 11, at an addition circuit 25, and the positive envelope of a waveform (b) at the point B is a straight line without being unchanged. Then, in a modulation signal frequency for the AM modulation signal, an inverting amplifying circuit 27 is operated toward the direction that the variance in the detected voltage is smaller, by taking the envelope detecting characteristics (positive) as (d), and the waveform at the point C is given.
