Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide a thermal type flow meter on which less influence of installation, a position, and an ambient temperature is exerted, by a method wherein a bridge circuit, consisting of resistance and heaters rolled around a conduit, is held in a vacuum condition in a sealed receptacle. CONSTITUTION:A branch conduit 2 is attached to a main conduit 3 provided with a throttle mechanism 4, and a bridge circuit is formed of a pair of heaters 5 and 6 rolled around a branch conduit 2, and resistance wires 5 and 6. The bridge circuit is sealed with a seald receptacle 9, and power source terminals 12, 13 and output terminals 14, 15 are led out via a hermetic seal 11. In so constituted bridge circuit in a thermal type flow meter, the inside of the sealed receptacle 9 is in a condition to be evacuated by means of a vacuum valve 10, whereby the unbalancing condition of the bridge circuit due to the influence of the installing condition of the resistance wires, the position, and an ambient temperature is not created, and a quantity of flow can be measured precisely.
