Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a title device which can start a new line and a new page by a single switch, by a method wherein either of a new line and a new page operation is performed depending on whether a period of a switch signal, generated through the operation of a peper feed switch, is longer or shorter than a given period of time.
CONSTITUTION: With a paper feed switch 1 depressed, a switch signal SW goes to a low level, a processor 3 detects, a counter 5a is caused to start timing of a set time T1 by means of a clock signal CLK. During the time T1, the processor 3 is released from the depression condition, and when the switch signal SW attains a high level, the processor 3 performs an operation to start a new line. In case the switch 1 is depressed during a longer period than the time T1, a continuous new line operation is conducted. When the switch 1 is released from depression condition from a paper feed progresses and a paper approaches a position where it is desired to stop, the processor 3 generates minimum number of pluses necessary to start a new line by a full line, and suspends controlling an operation of a motor 8.
