Abstract

PURPOSE:To minimize the bending of a high temp. steel plate after formation of sections by forming rolling grooves with rolls having annular grooves to said steel plate then or at the same instant of forming these rolling grooves, flat rolling the plate thence cutting the steel plate from the above-described groove parts. CONSTITUTION:After a high temp. steel plate (slab) 33 is rolled with grooves by means of rolls 31 with annular grooves, it is flat rolled with plane rolls 32, and after this flat rolling or at the same instant of the flat rolling, the plate is cut from the groove parts. Namely, the steel plate is flat rolled at its cut faces and therefore dogbones are decreased or eliminated completely like the sectional shape (e) from (f). The bending and sectional shape after the flat rolling are (d), (i) respectively, and it is possible to conform the dogbones after edge rolling to adequate sizes of -, 0, + by controlling the rate delta'2 of bending after the edge rolling by controlling the rate of the flat rolling prior to cutting in accordance with +, 0, -. Hence, in the final, the bending after the sectional formation is reduced to zero or considerably as shown by (d).
