Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate necessity of the valve of a piston pump and simplify the structure of the pump, by arranging two pistons oppositely in the main body of the cylinder of the pump, making it possible to change the capacity between the pistons according to the reciprocating motion of the pistons and thus transferring a fluid with the pistons.
CONSTITUTION: When the first piston 4 moves formed in the right direction, a liquid in a hollow portion 10 between the first and the second pistons 4, 7 pushes the piston 7 forward against a spring 8. Then, the piston 7 opens a discharge port 3, and the liquid in the hollow portion 10 is forced out from the port 3. The forcing out is completed by the further forward motion of the piston 4. Next, the piston 7 is released from the forward pushing by the start of the backward motion of the piston 4, and the piston 7 is returned to its original position by the elasticforce of the spring 8.
