Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a heat sensitive recording sheet having excellent stretchability due to moisture and large strength by coating and crying organic solvent solution of aqueous insoluble resin to form a primary or back layer and then coating a heat sensitive coloring layer thereon. CONSTITUTION:In a heat sensitive recording sheet in which a heat sensitive coloring layer having as main ingredients normally colorless or pale coloring substance[e.g., 3,3-bis( p-dimethylaminophenyl )-6-diethylaminophthalide]and a developing substance thermally coloring the coloring substance[e.g., 2,2'-bis( p- hydroxyphenyl)propane]is formed on a carrier, aqueous insoluble resin (e.g., PVAc, etc.) is dissolved in an organic solvent (e.g., methyl cellosolve, etc.) as a solution, which is coated and dried as a primary or back layer to produce the head sensitive recording sheet. This sheet has excellent stretchability due to moisture and large strength, as a heat sensitive recording material.
