Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable a diver to be devoted entirely to diving and to prevent the occurrence of a danger during a diving work, by a method wherein a gauge is provided with a device which indicates a depth of water and has a function to sound an audible alarm when it reaches a preset depth of water. CONSTITUTION:In a depth-sounding gauge mode, a water pressure is sensed in an analogue manner by a depth sensor 7. The output of the depth sensor 7 is converted 8 into a digital mode, and a water depth information so converted is indicated by an indicator 6. Water depth information from an A/D conversion circuit 8 and a water depth memory circuit 10 preset previously are transmitted to a comparison circuit 12. When a current water depth information is sensed to exceed a water depth information memoried in the memory circuit 10, a vibrator 13 is actuated.
