CONSTITUTION:Holes are drilled in the body of a paper-making roll made of stainless alloy containing 10% or more austenite phase, and then the roll is subjected to a heat treatment under the following condition. The roll is subjected to repeated cycles involving N>=(1/125)T times cooling-ordinary temperature from a heating temperature range of 550 deg.C to T deg.C=450 deg.-0.45A (A is % of ferrite phase).
