Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve a power line carrier communication system which can restrict the use of line in advance, by providing a monitor monitoring if a power line is used for information transmission every communication terminal. CONSTITUTION:Carrier waves in a specified frequency flow to a distribution line 3 for lighting, when communication terminals 1 and n start communication. A line (power line) interface in a line monitor 2 picks up a carrier component and supplies it to a frequency detection circuit 2B in the monitor. The circuit 2B discriminates if a picked up carrier component is concident with a prescribed carrier frequency. The discriminated output is applied to a control circuit 2C. The circuit 2C is provided with a power supply and relays, and when the discrimination is coincident, the relays are driven and a lamp 4 is illumincated. That is, the lamp 4 is illumincated at all the terminals and each operator is given notice. Simultaneously, the control circuit 2C transmits an interruption inhibit signal 5 to the communication terminal of the station itself.
