Abstract

PURPOSE: To make a solar heat collector light and facilitate the installment and maintenance, by mounting on a roof a combination of heat receiving plates for absorbing solar heat with reflecting plates for reflecting sunlight.
CONSTITUTION: The heat collector arranged between tile bars 2 on the roof 1 comprises a combination of the heat receiving plates 4 adequate for absorbing solar heat and the reflecting plates 5 that are light weight and suitable for reflecting sunlight, and they are arranged in a zigzag pattern in cross section. The heat receiving plates 4 are mounted at an attaching angle that makes approximately a right angle with the incident sunlight in winter, and the reflecting plates 5 are mounted at an attaching angle that makes approximately a right angle with the incident sunlight in summer. A transparent plate 6 supported on the tile bars 2 covers the heat collector 3 so that a space is formed between the tile bars 2 and constitutes an air path 7 for guiding exterior air along the surface of the heat collector 3, the air path 7 being in communication with the inside of the house.
