Abstract

PURPOSE:To make ink jet type printers inexpensive by making ink cartridges that are loaded on ink jet type printers at shipment different from ink cartridges that are sold in the market for replacement by users. CONSTITUTION:Ink cartridges used at the time of shipment from plant are in plastic vessels 2 that contain porous material 3 for absorption of the ink and that is plated to prevent evaporation of the ink, or in a metallic vessel 22 that contains the porous material 3 which absorbs the ink and that has a means to prevent evaporation of the ink. On the other hand, ink cartridges that are sold in the market for replacement, a plastic vessel is used, and the vessel is placed in a bag made of a metallic film pasted on a plastic film. The cartridges that are sold in the market are not so complete in the prevention of evaporation as those supplied at the time of shipment, but if the period to use them is limited, they can be practically useful and inexpensive.
