Abstract

PURPOSE: To shorten the vulcanization time and manufacture the reclaimed tire of good durability, by lapping the semivulcanized new belt and the unvulcanized tread on the old tire from which the damaged belt is removed, and vulcanizing, adhering them.
CONSTITUTION: A tire base is made by buffing the crown part of a used tire and scraping off the damaged belt. Then, the beforehand prepared semivulcanized new belt is wound on said tire base, further the unvulcanized tread layer is wound upon it and these are integrated by heat vulcanization. Because the new belt is semivulcanized beforehand, said new belt layer is perfectly vulcanized even by the short time vulcanization and there is no fear of the undervulcanization or the overvulcanization. So the vulcanization time is shortened and the reclaimed tire of excellent adhesion by vulcanization or durability is obtained.
