PURPOSE:To facilitate selection of registered documents to reduce the load of the operator, by displaying the list of register names of registered documents previously and by indicating a desired register name while watching this displayed list. CONSTITUTION:Register names (index) of registered documents are stored in external memory 40 such as a floppy-disc previously, and the output from list read key 11 and execution key 14 are input through input key circuit 10, and the control signal to control memory 40 and display memory 61 is output from control circuit 30 to which the output of up/dowm counter 20 is input. Then, register names from storage device 40 are input to memory 61 through index buffer 50 by the control signal of circuit 30 and are displayed on display device 60. A desired register name is selected by the operation of read key 11 and up and down keys 12 and 13 while watching these displayed register names, and thus, selection of register sentences is facilitated to reduce the load of the operator.
