Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled agent, effective for preventing flying, invasion, contact and approaching of sanitary and bloodsucking injurious insects, e.g. a cockroach or mosquito, and further an ant, and avoiding the contamination thereof, and containing a thiocyanate compound, e.g. cyclopentyl thiocyanoacetate, as an active constituent.
CONSTITUTION: An injurious insect repellent containing a thiocyanate compound of the formula (m is an integer 1W5; n is 0 or an integer 1W3; l is 4 or 5), e.g. cyclopentylmethyl thiocyanoacetate, cyclopentylmethyl 4-thiocyanoacetate or 3'- cyclohexylpropyl 5-thiocyanovalerate, as an active constituent. In use as a form of solution, e.g. a dispersion or wettable powder, the content of the active constituent compound is 1W80wt%, preferably 5W40wt%. In the case of a solid, e.g. dust, the content is 1W50wt%, preferably 2W20wt%.
