Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a toner with superior developability and pressure fixability and especially enable high-speed fixing even under low pressure by using polyethylene of a specified density or above and a 12W50C long chain compound as a mixed binder.
CONSTITUTION: Polyethylene of ≥0.94g/cm2 density is blended with a 12W50C long chain compound such as hydrocarbon, fatty acid, its ester, metallic soap or amide in 8/2W5/5wt. ratio, and this blend is used as a binder. By adding magnetic fine particles to the binder by 15W70wt% to the total amount of them, a pressure fixing toner is manufactured. This toner can be fixed rapidly under a pressure corresponding to 1/3W1/5 of a conventional pressure, and the fixability is hardly affected even by adding a pigment, a chargeability providing agent, an antiblocking agent, etc. as required.
