Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide a simple and reliable method to switch back a moving object for conveyance by utilizing a Y-shaped path, by the use of a conveyor with a lack gear and pushers.
CONSTITUTION: When a hanger 6 conveyed to a position as indicated in a drawing A enters between front and rear pushers 14 and 15, a lack gear 32 is moved in the direction of an arrow mark 71 with a cylinder 33 actuated. This causes the pusher 14 of the first conveyor 9 to push a trolley 7 for pushing forward the hanger 6 from an entry rail 1 to a common rail 3. A switch rail 4 is then connected to the entry rail 1 through the movement of a rod 54. The continuous movement of the lack gear 32 causes the conveyance of the hanger 6 from the entry rail 1 onto the rail 3 through the switch rail 4 because the front trolley 7 is pushed by means of the pusher 14. Then, the movement in the reverse direction of the lack gear 32 pushes the hanger 6 toward the direction of the switch rail 4.
