Abstract
PURPOSE: To facilitate the decomposition of feces and urine at a high efficiency, by arranging a urine reserving vessel adjacent to a feces fermentation vessel, and decomposing the urine with the fermentation heat of the feces.
CONSTITUTION: Natural feces are carried by conveyers 8, 9 to a fermentation vessel 2, and fermented and dried there by a stirrer 4. The treated feces are discharged through discharge holes 10, 11. Urine is carried by a pump 34 to urine reservoirs 13, 14. A heat generated by the fermentation of the feces is transmitted through inside walls 15, 16 to the urine reservoirs 13, 14, and thermally decomposes the urine and generates methane gas from the urine. The methance gas is extracted through the openings 25, 26, 27, 28. The digested urine is carried by a pump 39 to evaporation vessels 35, 36. The urine in the evaporation vessels is vaporized naturally and artificially. The artificial vaporization is done by dipping a sheet member 49 attached with a wire 52 into the urine, winding up the wire 52 onto a pipe 53, and evaporating the urine from the front and back surfaces of the sheet member 49 with or without blowers 56, 57. Thus, feces and urine can be effectively decomposed at once.
