Abstract

PURPOSE: To cause fine particles of a liquid to adhere uniformly to an object to be coated without any turbulence in the flow of the fine particles as well as reduce the adherence of the fine particles to the inner walls of a container by a method in which a flux is finely divided into fine particles by a supersonic atomizer in a container and the fine particles are dropped through an opening.
CONSTITUTION: When applying a high frequency power between the electrode plate 6 and the rear metal 7 of a supersonic atomizer 1, a current flows through an electrostrictive vibrator 5 from the electrode plate 6 to the front metal 2 and the rear metal 7 on the earth side, whereupon the electrostrictive vibrator 5 is displaced toward thicknesswise direction to generate a supersonic vibration and also an atomizing surfaces 4 undergoes a supersonic vibration. Then, a cock 17 is opened, and then a flux 19 in a tank 18 is directed to the atomizing surface 4 for atomization, where the fine particles of the flux generated in the container 12 drop gravity through an opening 13, and collide with and are adhered to a printed plate 20. The fine particles of the flux adhered to the inner walls of the container 12 drop to the bottom of the container 12 and then are discharged from a valve 14 or transferred to a tank 18 as necessary.
