Abstract
PURPOSE: To miniaturize a device, by providing two pressure chambers in a tension generating cylinder, while communicating these pressure chambers to each other through a check valve and simultaneously communicating one of them to an accumulator through other check valves.
CONSTITUTION: In a cylinder 109 two pressure chambers A2, A1 are provided, and one pressure chamber A2 is linked to a supporting member 101 of an idler 4 through an initial tension adjusting piston 102. While the other pressure chamber A1 is communicated to an accumulator 120 through a check valve 119 and check valve 118. The before described pressure chambers A1, A2 are communicated through a check valve 117, permitting the flow of pressure oil as necessary from the chamber A1 into A2. A shut-off valve 108 is communicated to the pressure chamber A2 and only required its opening when a track belt is removed.
