Abstract
PURPOSE:To repeat wire extension and heat treatment to improve welding workability of a small-diameter wire and wire feedability, by wrapping the quantity, which is specified for the wire weight, of the flux of specific composition in a stainless outer cover. CONSTITUTION:As components of the filler which does not include carbonate, 5- 15% rutile and 0.5-2% metal fluoride for the weld wire weight are essential components, and 5.5-15.5% total of oxides such as quartz sand, alumina, and iron oxide for the wire weigh is the slug forming material. These components and one or more kinds of metal powders such as Cr, Ni and Mn specified to 25% or less for the wire weight are filled as filler 2 in outer cover 1, which is obtained by molding Cr-Ni stainless into a tube, with filling rate 5.5-30% for the wire weight. Next, heat treatment at 800-1,150 deg.C and wire extension process are performed one or more times. The reason why components are specified is because rutile improves wrapping and the metal fluoride facilitates slug elimination. If the filling rate exceeds the specified value, the wire is broken in wire extersion.
