Abstract

PURPOSE: To contrive the miniaturization and lighter weight of the device by a method wherein an elastic member for absorbing an excessive expansion is arranged between the bottom part of an interposed drum and an element.
CONSTITUTION: A thermowax element 15 wherein a temperature sensitive drum part 30 is at the lower part and a cylindrical part 31 containing a piston 17 is at the upper part, is arranged in a valve chamber 4. An interposed drum 9 has an approximately U type section and is equipped with a flange part 11 at the outer upper side and it covers an element 9. A coil spring 14 is arranged at the outside of the interposed drum 9 and the end thereof is in contact with the flange part 11 of the interposed drum 9 and the other end is in contact with the upper end of the lower cover 3. A valve hole 7 is opened and closed through an elastic force of the aforementioned coil spring 14. A coil spring 26 for absorbing an excessive expansion is arranged between the bottom part of the inclusion drum 9 and an element 15. The elastic force of this coil spring 26 is large, and it contracts hardly during a normal opening and closing.
