Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the accuracy for the magnetism test, by providing the device which gives correction to the magnetic flux distribution and thus ensure a uniform magnetic flux distribution within the material to be tested.
CONSTITUTION: Coil 8 detects the magnetic flux density at the center of exciting coil 2; and coils 9a and 9b detect the magnetic flux density at the end part of coil 2. The difference is detected 12 between the phase of the induced voltage of coil 8 corresponding to the phase of the main magnetic flux and the phase of the induced voltage of coils 9a and 9b each corresponding to the phase of the corrected magnetic flux. Then the detection output is applied to phase control circuit 13 to carry out the phase control for the induced voltage of coil 8 the voltage level of which is controlled through magnetic flux control circuit 11, and then applied to correcting coil 14 after amplification 15. Accordingly, the phase difference is eliminated between the main and corrected magnetic flux to realize a uniform magnetic flux distiribution within material 5 to be tested. As a result, a high-accuracy magnetism test is possible for many types of material 5 by one unit of test coil 1.
