Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily separate a partial discharge signal from outside noises through measurement of a positive-polarity signal by employing a subtracting circuit composed of three wide-band transformers as a means for preventing the generation of output voltage by the detector due to the outside noises.
CONSTITUTION: Electrification current of diodes D1WD4 flows through resistances 1W4 respectively and the terminal voltage thereof is detected. The terminal voltage of the resistances 1 and 2 excites the primary winding with neutral point of the wide-band transformer 5 to generate the full-wave rectification waveform or minute voltage of a loop current in the output of the secondary winding. The terminal voltage of the resistances 3 and 4 excites the primary winding with neutral point of the wide-band transformer 6 to generate the full-wave rectification waveform or minute voltage of the loop current in the output of the secondary winding. Thus, in the secondary winding of the transformer 7 is generated a voltage resulted from subtraction of the output voltage of the secondary winding of the transformers 5 and 6. By discriminating the polarity of this output voltage, the partial discharge signal can be detected through separation.
