Abstract
PURPOSE: To enhance the lubricating efficiency of the guide bearing device by a method wherein an oil tank containing a lubricating oil is fitted to a flange at the lower end of a rotary shaft.
CONSTITUTION: A shaft water-sealing member 11 projectedly provided at an upper cover 2 is pressed against the peripheral surface 12 of a flange 6 of a main shaft 1, with the lower part of the oil tank 5 being fitted to the upper part of the flange 6 by a bolt 13 through a packing 14. Accordingly, the height H' of the center B of a bearing 3 from the center A of a hydraulic turbine can be greatly reduced as compared with a conventional one, so that the oil tank 5 is located near a runner 7 and the lubricating oil can be cooled sufficiently by water in the runner. Therefore, the lubricating efficiency of the bearing 3 can be enhanced.
