Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit time to be readily checked when the alarm is sounded by allow ing a timepiece having both an illumination light source and an alarm to automatically illuminate the time display portion when the alarm is sounded.
CONSTITUTION: At the alarm time previously set, a signal is applied to a terminal A, causing a power circuit 2 comprising a blocking oscillator-booster circuit to be maintained in the operating state by a cell 1. To terminals B and C, a controlling signal is alternately applied to actuate a piezoelectric buzzer 7 and an electrostatic lamp 10 for illumination alternately.
