Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit the use of various sizes of cassettes, allowing a device to maintain the form of a small-sized, portable type copying machine, by a method wherein a cassette-laying rest, which is usually closed and is opened outward in the case of the usage to form a charging port for a copying paper cassette plate at the copying machine body, is installed.
CONSTITUTION: A charging opening 18 for a cassette 15 is made in a wall surface 17 of a copying machine body, on which a feed roller 6, feeding copying papers 8 contained in the cassette, faces, and a lower section of an openable cover 19 for the opening 18 is attached to the machine body by means of an axle 20 so that the cover can open to the outward direction. When the openable cover 19 is opened for serving as a cassette-laying rest, the end of the cassette 21 makes contact with a paper feed guide 21 to be positioned thereat, and an upper surface of the copying papers 8 laminated on an intermediate bottom 23 pushed up by a spring 22 is brought into contact with a feed roller 16. The rotation of the roller feeds out sheet of the copying paper one after another at a time hereupon. Besides, a device is constituted such that the papers can be fed manually through guide slits 25 and 26 when the openable cover 19 is closed.
