Abstract
PURPOSE:To indicate accurately the time when the battery should be replaced, by detecting a drop in across voltage of the battery by indicating whether the operation of the device is within a normal range or not without reference to the drop directly. CONSTITUTION:Pulse generator 1 generates pulse strings corresponding to remote control operation and constant-current driving transistor TR7 is controlled with the pulse strings. This TR7 is turned on at a constant voltage by the conduction voltage determined by bias-voltage setting diodes 3 and 4. Without reference to slight fluctuations of the voltage across power battery 20, this TR7 drives infrared- ray emitting diodes 5 and 6 with constant current to transmit accurately a remote control signal by infrared rays. Then, TR18 is controlled by being applied at the base with pulses from generator 1 to drive voltage comparing switching TR15 and while normal operation is carried out with prescribed-value driving current to diodes 5 and 6, light emitting diode 14 is turned on every time the remote control signal is outputted, thereby detecting a voltage drop of battery 20 by the off-operation of diode 14.
