Abstract
PURPOSE: A refining agent which consists in using a specific amount of CaO as its main component, constituting the rest of specific amounts of Al2O3, CaF2 and unavoidable components such as MgO and SiO2 and fusing CaF2 on CaO particle surfaces and which has high capacity in desulfurization, deoxidation, etc.
CONSTITUTION: Raw materials are so compounded as to have the composition of 1W14 Al2O3 in wt% 2.5W10 CaF2, ≤4 unavoidable components such as MgO, SiO2, Fe oxide. The obtd. raw material compound is calcined in a rotary kiln, so that CaF2 is fused onto the CaO particle surfaces.
