Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the titled compound useful as an intermediate for medicines or agricultural chemicals advantageously, by adding a seed solution containing a reaction intermediate to the reaction system in which an epoxide is reacted with an isocyanate in the presence of a lithium halide, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A compound of formula I (R1 is H or organic substituent, particularly CH2Cl, except a heterocyclic ring) is reacted with a compound of formula II (R2 is organic substituent, particularly isopropyl, except a heterocyclic ring, in an amount of 0.1W10mol% based on the compound of formula I in the presence of a compound of the formula LiX (X is halogen, particularly Cl) or formula III (R3, R4, R5 and R6 are 1W20C alkyl, particularly ethyl) at a temperature of preferably 70W200°C to give a compound of formula IV. In the reaction process, a seed solution containing a reaction intermediate, particularly part of the reaction solution in the previous reaction, is added to the reaction system in an amount of preferably 2W20wt% based on the charging amount to suppress the rapid reaction, facilitate the control of the reaction and obtain the compound of formula IV in high yield.
