Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate controls and to simultaneously obtain plural focused electronic beams by arranging the first and second latticed electrode plates having perforated hole lines opposite to plural pieces of linear heat cathodes ahead of the heat cathodes, and by arranging plural pieces of electronic emitting limited electrodes which are orthogonally crossed with the heat cathodes behind the heat cathodes. CONSTITUTION:Linear heat cathodes 3 composed of metal wire with high fusing point, such as W wire on the surface of which a heat electronic emitting material 4 are plurally strung over almost orthogonally crossing electronic beam control electrodes 2. The heat cathodes 3 and control electrodes 2 are held with a settled interval, and respective pitches are determined in proportion to the necessary density of electronic beams. Besides, for drawing out the electronic beams in the focused condition, the first and second latticed electrode plates 5, 7 on which the perforated hole lines 6, 8 are provided along the longitudinal direction of the heat cathodes 3. In addition, the hole diameter of the perforated holes 6, 8 have the hole shapes which are provided on the first electrode 5 are made larger than the hole diameter which is provided on the second electrodes 7. This facilitates to control and to simultaneously plural pieces of focused electronic beams.
