Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent a picture from deteriorating in quality by outputting an input signal direct on detecting a ghost eliminator, using a transversal filter, getting unstable. CONSTITUTION:A television signal applied to terminal IN is inputted to transversal filter 1. By a weighting control voltage applied to weighting circuit 3, the gap gain is controlled according to a ghost component and at the output of transversal filter 1, a television signal having the ghost component eliminated appears. As the circuit like this gets unstable or divergent, the output of transversal filter 1 is compared with threshold levels VH and VL at level comparators 16 and 17, whose outputs are inputted to AND gate 18. The output of AND gate 18 is at a low level in this state. Then, this is held by latch circuit 19 and by the output of AND gate 20, switch circuit 21 is put into operation to send input signal IN to output OUT as it is, so that the deterioration of quality can be prevented.
