Abstract

PURPOSE:To discriminate the radar jamming wave by detecting a false reflecting pulse by comparing an in time waveform of the reflecting pulse received from a target with an in time waveform of the transmitting pulse. CONSTITUTION:The transmitting pulse from a transmitter 12 hit an air plane 16 and the reflecting wave 18 is received by a radar receiver 14 to carry out the radar operation. Since the reflecting wave from the air plane 16 synthesizes the reflecting waves 31, 32, 33 from the respective parts of the air plane, stairslike in time wave shape 40 is obtained. The jamming wave 19 transmitted through the time delay circuit 20, and an amplifying circuit 21 from the radar jammer of the air plane 16 side is the same in time wave shapes as the pulse from the transmitter 12, so that by providing a means for comparing the transmitting pulse and the in time waveform of the receiving pulse, a false reflecting pulse can be discriminated. Also, in the case where the level of the true reflecting wave is low, or a plurality of reflecting waves are seen in the same direction from the radar, the true reflecting wave and the false reflecting wave can be discriminated.
